Cubs & Bulbuls – Standard Judging Competition 2026

• Participants: Only 6 Cubs & Bulbuls per school
• Venue: Fatima Matriculation Hr. Sec. School, Kodambakkam
• Registration Fee: ₹250 (Including Masters)
• Judging: External judges from other districts
• Scoring: 40 points per event (4 criteria × 10 points)

• All participants must wear proper Cubs/Bulbuls uniform during registration
• Reporting Time: 9:00 AM on 28 February 2026
• Accommodation, food, and snacks will be provided
• No breakfast on Day 1; snacks start from 11:00 AM
• Lunch will be served till Day 2; event concludes after lunch
• Judges’ decision will be final for all events
• Competition ends at 2:00 PM on 28 February 2026

• BP’s Exercise – 6:00 AM
• Flag Procedure – 8:00 AM

Greetings

Type: Group Event

• All 6 participants must perform together
• Proper Cub/Bulbul greeting as per APRO
• Posture, clarity, uniform & attitude will be judged
• Proper Scout uniform is mandatory

Action Song

Theme: Heal The World

• Group event involving all 6 participants
• Duration: 3 minutes
• Coordinated actions and movements required
• Lyrics must focus on healing and helping the world
• Background music allowed

Speech

Theme: About Great Leaders

• Individual competition (2 participants per pack)
• Duration: 2 minutes
• Speech must be original
• No written notes or visual aids allowed
• Participant must introduce themselves

Skit

Theme: Scouting is Fun

• Group event involving all 6 participants
• Duration: 3 minutes
• Must highlight Scout values in a fun way
• Simple props and costumes allowed
• No offensive or controversial content

Wealth Out of Waste

Type: Pair Competition

• 2 participants per pack
• On-the-spot creation (60 minutes)
• Only venue-provided waste materials allowed
• No pre-made components permitted
• Final product must be original & functional

Face Painting

Theme: Green Pledge

• Pair competition (one painter, one model)
• Duration: 60 minutes
• Theme must represent environmental protection
• Only skin-friendly paints allowed
• No templates or reference images permitted

Collage

Theme: Earth Hug

• Pair competition (2 participants per pack)
• Create collage on A2 size chart paper
• Participants must bring their own materials
• No pre-cut images from home

Jungle Dance / Tara Story

Type: Group Performance

• All 6 Cubs/Bulbuls must participate
• Duration: 3 minutes
• Dance or narration from Jungle or Tara story
• Simple costumes and props allowed

Group Games

Focus: Teamwork & Sportsmanship

• Group event involving all 6 participants
• Duration: 20–30 minutes
• Games will be announced on the spot
• Physical fitness & cooperation evaluated

Campfire Dance

Theme: Rhythm of Heritage

• Group cultural dance performance
• Duration: 3 minutes
• Traditional or folk dance encouraged
• Music to be submitted 1 hour before event

Awareness Parade

Theme: Save Water – Drop by Drop

• Group marching competition
• Placards and slogans mandatory
• No pre-recorded music allowed
• Eco-friendly and reusable props only

• Each event carries 40 points
• 4 criteria × 10 points each
• Judges’ decision is final
• Uniform & discipline are mandatory

• 🥉 Third Place – Bronze Medal + Certificate
